Ok, I will start this blog out with dessert first! I mean after all, life is short, right? Le Moulin de Saint-Laurent, in my opinion, had the best dessert ever. Continue Reading →

Whether you drive, bicycle, or walk (like I did) the 42-mile Chemin Royal (Royal Road) that encircles Île d’Orléans, the landscape will not disappoint! Being an island, there are many Continue Reading →

In some ways it is surprising to me how Île d’Orléans, a small island of only 73 square miles of total surface area near Québec City, Canada, has such a Continue Reading →

Debby Lee Jagerman-Dungan

Debby Jagerman-Dungan I love to travel, take pictures, and write. I love to walk and hike at home…and when I travel. Recently returning from an amazing long-distance walking experience on the 630-mile South West Coast Path in England, I have also walked on the 482-mile Camino de Santiago across northern Spain, with an additional 20 miles up Spain’s Atlantic Coast. I have trekked to Laya in Bhutan at 12,500 feet, backpacked the Wonderland Trail around Mt. Rainier, ambled around the Cotswolds in England, previously walked 100 miles of the South West Coast Path, and I am one of the few to walk Île d'Orléans near Québec City, Canada. I have journeyed from the Galapagos Islands to Punxsutawney, PA; from Cambodia and Vietnam to at least 25 countries in Europe; from at least 35 states in the United States to Belize, New Zealand, and Australia. I enjoy exploring lighthouses anywhere I travel, and I purposely go to states such as Oregon, Washington, and Michigan just to see the lighthouses. I have created my favorite subject to photograph when I travel - windows and doors - into six books, including places from the Cotswolds to the Camino, from Île d’Orléans to Porvoo, and ten countries in between, as well as lighthouses in Michigan. All books are available on Amazon.com, with links below. There are brief descriptions of each book on my 'Windows and Doors Travel Photography Books' page. Please feel free to contact me at debbysdepartures[at]yahoo[dot]com. As I say at the end of all my blogs, Sweet Travels!
